Overview

CIT has an impressive 90 year history providing technical and further education in the ACT and surrounding area. Today, it trains around 20,000 students each year, touching more lives post- secondary school than any other tertiary education institution in the ACT. Offering apprenticeships and certificate level training through to diplomas, bachelor degrees and graduate certificates, CIT offers the full gamut of the tertiary experience and can help you identify a training pathway to help you reach your goals, whether you are new to study or already hold qualifications.

Scholarships

Australia Awards Scholarships Australia Awards Scholarships are long term development awards administered by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. They aim to contribute to the long-term development needs of Australia's partner countries. They provide opportunities for people from developing countries, particularly those countries located in the Indo-Pacific region, to undertake full time undergraduate or postgraduate study at participating Australian universities and Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutions, which includes CIT.

CIT offers accommodation options to suit most needs: 1. On-campus accommodation: a footstep away from classes means you will never be late. 2. Homestay: stay with an Australian family and experience the exchange of culture in a supportive learning environment 3. Rent your own property: rent your own accommodation in Canberra or rent a share house with others.

Airport Pickup

Airport Pick-up is a CIT service in which students are collected from the airport on arrival into Canberra. It is also available for students arriving by bus. International students can request airport pick-up at a cost of $150 (AUD). CIT's pick-up service can also be requested by students who choose to catch a bus from Sydney and need to be picked up from the Jolimont Centre (Bus Station) in Civic.
