The acronym TAFE stands for Technical and Further Education. TAFE NSW is Australia's largest vocational education and training provider, based in New South Wales. TAFE NSW is the leading provider of vocational education and training in Australia. Each year, more than 500,000 students enrol in our courses and training. We aim to skill the workforce for the future through high quality, personalised education and training. We provide a range of study options from full-time to part-time study, online or face-to-face. Scholarships

TAFE NSW is committed to helping International students develop specialised skills and attain the qualifications they need to achieve their personal and professional goals. We are currently offering the following Scholarships: 25% Scholarship - 25% Scholarship will be applied as credit against the tuition fees for each semester for the full duration of the higher education courses (or package). OR $2,000 Scholarship - Total Scholarship value of $2,000 (AUD), which will be applied as $1,000 (AUD) credits towards your course tuition fees in the first and second semester.

Accommodation

As an international student, you have a choice of accommodation available to you. *Homestay: TAFE NSW International can help you find short-term homestay accommodation when you arrive in Australia (minimum of 4 weeks stay). Homestay is when you live with an Australian family in their home, and is a great way to assimilate into the Australian lifestyle as well as practice your English language skills. The homestay family provides you with meals, laundry facilities and your own room with a study desk. You are usually asked to help with some household chores. *Renting: When you share a house or apartment with one or more other people, you are more independent than living in homestay accommodation. You will need to supply your own furniture if the house/apartment is unfurnished. You also have to arrange for your own towels, pillows, sheets and blankets, plus pay your share of rent, electricity and gas, as well as buy your own food and do your own laundry. *Students Under 18 Years of Age Living with parents or relatives approved by the Department of Home Affairs Living with parent-nominated homestay with distant relatives or close family friends, as approved by TAFE NSW International Living in homestay accommodation arranged by TAFE NSW International

Airport Pickup

If you have requested airport pickup, you must notify TAFE NSW International of your arrival details two weeks before you are due to arrive. A representative will meet you at the airport in the Arrivals Hall, holding a sign with your name on it. You will enter the Arrivals Hall after you clear Customs. Note: The airport pickup service costs A$140. You will need to pay the airport pickup fee at the same time as your tuition fee.
