Course Overview
Progress your career in the community services sector with this qualification. Learn the problem solving skills needed to work with people from diverse backgrounds, enabling you to make a difference to their circumstances. You will be qualified to work within a community services framework and help plan and conduct group activities for clients, whilst implementing health promotion programs. Gain a range of practical skills and knowledge that will assist you to respond and intervene when critical situations arise, such as children at risk, mental health and domestic violence. As part of this course you will undertake a supervised or simulated work placement where you will be able to apply the skills and knowledge you have learned.
Entry Requirements
Completion of CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services OR CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support is required for entry into this course. Completion of the equivalent of Australian Year 10 is required for entry into this course at Central Regional TAFE.
