Course Overview
Start your career in making a difference to communities with this qualification. This course will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to work effectively with individuals and groups in residential and community settings to identify their needs, and plan and develop appropriate services to meet those needs. You will learn about the community services sector including mental health, alcohol and other drug services, and domestic violence services. You will acquire skills in communication, working effectively and appropriately with individuals and groups in a variety of settings, gathering, maintaining and providing information, advocacy and community development processes, ethical behaviour and the legal responsibilities of community workers.
