The Master of Professional Psychology consists of coursework (including a major case study) and practical placement. The program develops specialised knowledge and skills for the professional practice of psychology including ethical and legal practice assessment and interventions across the lifespan. The structure provides for the application of learning experiences across these areas. Practicum experiences throughout the program facilitate the practical application of knowledge and develop core skills for psychological practice. Practical training is provided at FedUni Community Psychology Services and external agencies. You will be required to undertake at least 300 hours of practicum experience.

Academic entry requirements
Academic Entry Requirements: Completion of an APAC accredited 4 year sequence in psychology
OR
equivalent as assessed by the APS, successful interview, submission of 2 referee reports (1 academic, 1 professional).
This program requires a minimum WAM in the fourth year psychology degree of 65. Students must be eligible for provisional registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. Applicants who have completed their undergraduate studies overseas are required to have their qualification assessed by the Australian Psychological Society (see www.psychology.org.au/membership/qualifications/). We are unable to consider an application without evidence of the degree being recognised by the APS as equivalent to Australian courses.
